Natural Treatments for Dark Circles and Puffy Eyes

Many people have dark circles and bags under the eyes. There are many
cosmetic products designed to minimize these problems. Often these
products are expensive and contain chemicals that are harmful for the
skin.

We propose a series of natural treatments that can effectively treat these problems, without side effects.
Factors that causes the appearance of dark circles and bags under the eyes

Often,
bags under the eyes is a hereditary condition. Also, dark circles tend
to worsen with age because the skin becomes thinner and loses
subcutaneous fat. This leads to exposure of blood vessels just below the
skin.

Many other factors may be involved, as well: excessive
smoking, inadequate sleep schedule, improper diet, excessive alcohol
consumption, pollution and allergies. Hormonal imbalances, pregnancy or
menopause may also contribute to dark circles and puffy eyes.

Natural remedies:

Potatoes
Potatoes have natural bleaching properties that can help illuminate
dark circles. They can also help remove puffiness around the eyes. Hold
two potatoes in the refrigerator for one hour. Clean the potatoes and
grate them to extract the juice from them. Soak a cotton pad in potato
juice and apply around the eyes by dabbing, before going to bed. Leave

bags under the eyes.

and astringent properties and therefore is widely used to treat dark
circles. They can lighten the skin, stimulate blood flow and reduce
swelling. Cut a cucumber into thick slices and chill them in a
refrigerator. Place a cold slice of cucumber over each eye for 10-15
minutes. Then wash the area with warm water. Do this twice a day for at
least a week to start noticing the changes.

Almond oil is also very effective in lightening the skin around the
eyes because is rich in vitamins and minerals. Gently massage 5-6 drops
of almond oil into the delicate skin under the eyes before going to bed.

Repeat this process daily until the dark circles disappear almost
entirely. Alternatively, you can mix 5-6 drops of almond oil with one
tablespoon of honey. Apply carefully under the eyes before going to bed.
The next morning rinse with warm water. Repeat daily until you achieve
the desired results.
