7 Diseases That Are Caused By Sleeping With Wet Hair. Stop Doing It Right Now!

Is it bad to sleep with wet
hair?   Our mothers have always told us that it is not good to go to
sleep with wet or damp hair, because we could catch a cold or pneumonia.
Was this quite true? The truth is that in fact not, however; Going to
sleep immediately after taking a bath and not drying your hair properly,
could prove to be a bad decision anyway. Why? That is the answer we

we must consider the moisture retained too long in the hair can reach
inflame the scalp , causing an annoying itching sensation. This also
causes damage to your mane, as the porosity of the hair surface is also
increased.

Sleeping
with wet hair can always give your severe headache. This happens
because during sleep the body temperature rises. As the body heats up,
the moisture which has collected on the towel that you might have
wrapped around your head can give you headache as there would be much
temperature difference.

2. Hair Breakage

Wet hair tends to break
much often. If you decide to sleep with wet hair, chances are bright
that a lot of hair breakage is likely to take place. It would therefore
never be a good idea to sleep with wet or dripping hair.

3. Expect a lot of sticky hair

If
you decide to sleep with wet hair, you could end up with a lot of
sticky hair, the other morning as the same will tend to entangle and
bind among themselves. Those having long hair should always avoid
sleeping with wet hair; else a lot of hair breakage along with a range
of other problems will follow.

Pillows
are an ideal place for bacteria as they absorb sweat, dead skin cells
and body oils. Wet hair wets the towel and it carries moisture to the
pillow which then becomes the nest for the development of bacteria.

5.Itchy

Sleeping
with wet hair can cause different types of itching, this is due to the
moisture that is formed in the skin of your head.

6. Muscle pain

Sudden
temperature changes can not only cause muscle pain,  but it can also
lead to severe cramps and even facial paralysis. This can eventually
lead to paralysis of the whole body and cause death.

The
moist scalp can interfere with the function of sebaceous glands present
on the scalp. They can either start to produce more oil or reduce oil
production. It can disrupt the natural pH balance of the scalp. As a
result, you either have to suffer from dandruff or excessive oily scalp.

So
if you want to prevent all these types of diseases and setbacks, you
should avoid sleeping with wet hair. That is why it is recommended to
use a towel after bathing, and also to keep your pillow and your
sleeping space always dry. So, whenever you need to wash your hair,
always do so during day hours. This would be always good for your
overall health.
